Ronan does folk-style singing and songwriting. She is working on making her music available here: http://www.youtube.com/
Currently, these two songs are up:
Pennies from the Rooftop: Caligula, one of the more infamous Roman emperors, used to stand on the top of a tall building and throw coins down into the street so that he could watch the people scramble and fight over them. This song was written for Black Friday, drawing parallels between the violence our current economic leaders engineer with that of history.
Shall We Suffer Silent, by Jillian Littell: An anthem for the Occupy movement and for economic justice fighters everywhere, written by a dear friend.
Coming soon: Ronan’s first CD, Patchwork, is a set of 5 songs about revolution, politics, kink, friendship, and, of course, love. The CD is not being sold right now, but Ronan is working on making the songs available for free online.
1. Plesiosaur’s Garden: Dinosaurs!
2. Song for the Buenas Noches Brigade: They fought the Minutemen and are awesome.
3. What Do I Tell You? The carceral system is violent and misogynist.
4. Daddy-Boy Song: Kinky and sweet.
5. The Wearing of the Green: Recycling an old protest song for a new struggle.
